The project ClinCode – Computer-Assisted Clinical ICD-10 Coding for improving efficiency and quality in healthcare has been funded by Research Council of Norway for 2021-2023 at the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research in Tromsø. ClinCode will be using both Norwegian and Swedish electronic patient records and will therefore partly take part at DSV. Partners are DIPS, that is supplier of electronic health record systems in Norway and UNN, University Hospital of North Norway.
New Research assistant – Anastasios Lamproudis
Hi everyone! My name is Anastasios Lamproudis, or just Tasos! I recently started working as a research assistant for Professors Hercules Dalianis and Aron Henriksson. I will be working with Natural Language Processing (NLP) in the DataLEASH, and Sepsis prediction projects.
I hold an M.Sc. in Machine Learning from KTH university with a background in Physics from AUTH university in Greece. I have also worked as a thesis intern in Doktor24 with NLP.

New PhD Student – Thomas Vakili
Hello! My name is Thomas Vakili and I am a new PhD student here at DSV in the IS unit. I will be working on NLP and de-identification of medical records with Professor Hercules Dalianis as my supervisor.
I have a MSc in computer science (civ.ing. i datateknik) from KTH, with a specialization in NLP. Before joining you here at DSV, I was employed as a IT consultant working with back-end development, data engineering and machine learning.
I’m looking forward to get to know you all and I am excited to embark on this journey!
2020 IBM Academic Award
Professor Lazar Rusu at Stockholm University has received in 2020 the IBM Academic Award for the research project entitled “Risks in Cloud Computing Relationships in Public Organizations”. The project aims to identify the risk factors in cloud computing relationships in public organizations and how to mitigate these risks.
